The message left on my answering machine today said something about "stopping by" to purchase some of the organic vegetables I have advertised. My first thought was that, 'boy, am I embarrassed, there's not much out there, yet'. What a surprise, when I checked the garden, to see so many green, yellow and haricot vert beans ready and waiting to be picked! The tomatoes are filling out and sweet peppers will also soon be ready. Wow! The dill is getting ready to bloom (just in time for the cucumbers aka 'pickles') , the cilantro and parsley are looking great! It always amazes me how quickly things can change in a garden. It's like when the leaves come out in the Spring. Every year I tell myself I am going to really 'keep an eye on them' and watch it slowly happen- and then, suddenly, there they are, and I have missed the unfolding again! Nature continues to intrigue and mystify.
