Windy-But it Keeps the Blackflies Away! Monday, May 19, 2008
« Previous Post | Next Post »
Wow! Are the blackflies something else this season!? The good news (?) is, I spotted some mosquitos yesterday- a sure sign around here that the little black pests will soon be on the wane. Mosquitos have their own "bad stuff" issues, but I find them a lot less of a pain in the neck (hah!)!
In spite of these minor 'nature issues', the gardens are progressing along well. All are cleaned up and most are composted and ready for the growing season. Tuesday night is the last full moon and hopefully the last chance for a frost. That means the annuals and tender plants can be set out-at last! They are SO ready, too!!
